Acts of Peter (& the Twelve) Apostles
Luke reports in his second volume [ACTS] that Peter and the Apostles [ἀπόστολος – Apostolos] have already spent time with JESUS, who IS alive and teaching them more for forty days after His resurrection. So they wait in Jerusalem as JESUS commanded them.
The RISEN Lord Jesus Christ now commands the Eleven Apostles:
Acts 1:4 WAIT in Jerusalem for the HOLY SPIRIT.
Of course no disciple of the Messiah Jesus would think to act against the LORD their God: the Father of our Lord and risen Son, Jesus, or the Holy Spirit.
Luke closes his Gospel and opens Acts emphasizing a new covenant between the the risen Jesus and the Holy Spirit – a new relationship not only with the Apostles, but also with many disciples who worship the Lord in Jerusalem.
Peter, John, James, and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, Simon the Zealot, and Judas the son of James. All these were continually devoting themselves with one mind to prayer..

Witness of Mary, James & others
Luke also includes here [Acts 1, v.14b] ‘along with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers.’
This is Acts’ only mention of the mother of Jesus the messiah; however His half-brother James would later become leader of the Jerusalem church and host to the Apostles, who obediently have taken the Gospel into all the world.
Let’s talk of JESUS and His post-resurrection relationship with the Eleven Apostles (now minus Judas).
