    Vinny, interrupted by death

    I was writing Christian fiction and starting a website to promote a book which needed an audience. Then my first month’s posts on talkofJESUS.com eight years ago in 2013 were interrupted when my good friend from church was murdered.

    Even as he and I both witnessed for Jesus Christ in our seemingly safe community, the Lord allowed it when he was killed by a disgruntled man firing shots into a building where Vinnie sat in the audience.

    Refugees have no strength

    Do you recognize the caution from 1 Samuel 2:9b? The attached summer rerun is repetitious as war and suffering. It noted Iraq. Since then Syria or any number of countries in Africa or Asia or South and Central America could have been our examples. Today we have finally ‘ended’ a 20 year war in Afghanistan.

    And as the observant may note, the Bible shows suffering many times and in many wars, famines and persecutions.

    INERRANCY: ‘Why is THAT important,’ we ask?

    If you have been following my Saturday posts on Doctrine you will note at least three things:

    1. I believe the BIBLE.
    2. You should study the BIBLE.
    3. Other theologians can explain the BIBLE better than me.

    Last Saturday’s post with its focus on inerrancy precedes a post which will ‘call the question,’ so to speak. Dr. Nichol’s book, R.C. SPROEL – A life provides sound basis included in many doctrinal posts if this series.
