    Let’s cut the crap! Are we under Construction?

    What Crap?

    ‘Our CHURCH has no crap to deal with,’ you say.

    Nonsense! In a brief post by a reader he addresses such crap using an illustration from Nehemiah.

    • Definition
      1. usually vulgar : FECES
      2. usually vulgar : the act of defecating
    • slang, sometimes vulgar : NONSENSE, RUBBISH also : STUFF

    (O.K. Maybe we don’t take any time to talk of JESUS with our brother or sister in Christ. This Christian could use some construction to fix some of it AND so could others in our CHURCH.))

    Since you are a fellow Christian under construction, here’s your chance to COMMENT on any post. Talk of JESUS {dot.com} welcomes your questions and comments.

    Habakkuk

    How long, Lord, have I called for help,
    And You do not hear?
    I cry out to You, “Violence!”
    Yet You do not save.

    Are You not from everlasting,
    O Lord my God, my Holy One?
    We shall not die.
    O Lord, You have appointed them for judgment;
    O Rock, You have marked them for correction.

    “Behold the proud,
    His soul is not upright in him;
    But the just shall live by his faith.

    “Indeed, because he transgresses by wine,
    He is a proud man,
    And he does not stay at home.
    Because he enlarges his desire as hell,
    And he is like death, and cannot be satisfied,
    He gathers to himself all nations
    And heaps up for himself all peoples.

    “Woe to him who builds a town with bloodshed,
    Who establishes a city by iniquity!

    Behold, is it not of the Lord of hosts
    That the peoples labor to feed the fire,
    And nations weary themselves in vain?

    “But the Lord is in His holy temple.

    Let all the earth keep silence before Him.”

    Habakkuk 2:20 NKJV

    O Lord, I have heard Your speech and was afraid;
    O Lord, revive Your work in the midst of the years!
    In the midst of the years make it known;
    In wrath remember mercy.

    Yet I will rejoice in the Lord,
    I will joy in the God of my salvation.

    Jesus’ reference to the Prophets of Kings

    This week we have been talking about Jesus of Nazareth and other Prophets of the Old Testament mentioned by Jesus. We continue by asking why Nazarites rejected their local Messiah who had worked miracles like these Old Testament Prophets. What do you know about the two Prophets of the first book of Kings Jesus mentions?
