This all-American anomaly does seem more prevalent in certain months of certain years. It’s practically an insult, isn’t it?

Who is calling out these evangelical christians so visible in the media?

Good News – Bad News

First, the Good News.

εὐαγγελιστής – Evangelist (noun) – The Evangelist brings good news! It’s the name given to the NT heralds of salvation through Christ who are not apostles.

Then the Spirit said to Philip, “Go over and join this chariot.” And Philip ran up and heard him reading Isaiah the prophet, and said,

“Do you understand what you are reading?”

And he said, “Well, how could I, unless someone guides me?” And he invited Philip to come up and sit with him.

GOOD NEWS: Philip is a Biblical example of an Evangelical Christian.

Evangelicals are preachers – those who have received their Gospel from the angels of God!

Christians are called to proclaim Jesus Christ, preaching His Gospel Good News to those drawn by God to eternal life.

For indeed we have had good news preached to us, even as they also did, but the word they heard didn’t profit them, because it wasn’t mixed with faith by those who heard.
Hebrews 4:2 – HNV

Now the Bad News (and it is two-fold).

Many evangelical christians do NOT follow Jesus Christ
1. Many who hear the Good News proclaimed will not benefit.
2. Some who claim to bring their good news to all do not preach Christ. (Listen with caution to where these so-called evangelicals would lead you and their loyal herds into the turmoil of this world.)
Listen to the sound reasoning of the Apostle Paul as he encourages believers of the Church at Corinth:

But if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. In their case, the god of this age has blinded the minds of the unbelievers to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
For we are not proclaiming ourselves but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’s sake. – 2 Corinthians 4:3-5 CSB

A Christian Evangelical

The authentic evangelical Christian claims no Lord other than Jesus Christ or agenda before the Gospel of Scripture.

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is foremost in the proclamation of the evangelical.
- Political and cultural cause do not become a gospel for an authentic evangelical Christian.
It is both true and troublesome that the label ‘Christians‘ was first used in Antioch (Acts 11:26) to malign followers of Jesus Christ compared to other religions and contemporarily used to claim or malign Jesus as a cause for or against culture unrelated to Christ.

Not every evangelical is so, just because someone called them an ‘evangelical christian’ away from the context of worship.
- The authentic evangelical worshiper will not ride every wave of contemporary culture or cling to cultural traditions of their past.
- An authentic evangelical church does not blindly follow the vision of a pastor ahead of the Gospel which God has revealed in the Bible.
- The authentic evangelical preacher does not substitute his own words for the true Gospel written in Scripture.
What is it that authentic Evangelical Christians do?

They evangelize good news of Christ.

The Gospel is Good News for sinners saved from death and the judgement of God. But the NEWS of Jesus Christ is NOT a topic shared by the world set against God.

Is the Lord Jesus Christ the HEADLINE of media?

Hardly.

What is it that Republicans do? They evangelize the good news of the republic (regardless of who they claim as their god).

And what is it that Democrats do? They evangelize the good news of democracy (regardless of what universal religion of the masses they claim).

Who is calling out these evangelical christians so visible in the media?

The opposition – opponents both of each other and against Jesus Christ.

So what is the business of media (including, of course, SOCIAL MEDIA)?

NEWS that sells.

Viral News that spreads through the unconsciousness of addicted consumers of culture.

NEWS creates COVID

– a Culture Of Viral Influential Destruction

of its consumed viewers, readers, listeners and virtual audience.

Whenever the world believes they can once again crucify the Lord God on their cross,

the NEWS maligns evangelical christians as human examples

demonstrating how God cannot save their world or their souls.

From Tents to Stadiums & Community to MEGA-Church

The Apostles of the first century Church appointed other men like Philip to serve their growing church and preach the Gospel. These men and women were evangelical Christians in the fullest sense, proclaiming Gospel Good News of salvation through Jesus Christ our Lord to all the world — men, women and children of every culture and nation.

Their churches (some to which we have letters from the Apostles) were mostly house churches or gatherings of the saints in certain public places.

Evangelism was by word of mouth and by their own example of Christ-like uniqueness from the cultures in which they lived.

Peter, John, Paul, Philip, Barnabas, Luke and many others represent Christ as evangels of their first century lives. They traveled between communities, wrote letters, sent money and pastoral advice and stayed with these believers for a time when the Spirit led them to build up the Church.

The Tabernacle was central to the Hebrew community as they traveled to the Promised Land

Paul made tents for travelers, but by the days of the explorers of later centuries, larger tents became meeting places – a public square in the middle of nowhere as in the days of the Tabernacle of Moses.

Evangelical Christians have gone into all the world in every century between the first and twenty-first an proclaimed the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The impression of Christ by the evangelical of the twentieth century became tainted by evangelicals themselves, a trend which has multiplied into further contention in our cultural churches of the twenty-first century.

The Religion of A-theism likely has as many branches as Protestantism, which also continues to splinter into several inclusive branches teaching humans Everythingism.

God’s Wrath on Unrighteousness
1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made.

Has much changed in twenty-two centuries?

Atheology studies and applies Everythingology to dismantle the exclusive truths of theology.

“This is what the LORD says, He who is the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the LORD of armies:

And So they shall question the LORD

But FIRST, the a-theist must question Scripture to tear down Trinity and bring down Christ.

The Biblical Premise:

Our God is One, yet is three distinct persons.

“The heart of Christian faith in God,” writes J. I. Packer, “is the revealed mystery of the Trinity. Trinitas is a Latin word meaning threeness. Christianity rests on the doctrine of trinitas, the threeness, the tripersonality, of God.

Trinity and the place of Jesus Christ in worship of the Lord God become the crux of the problem for the a-theist; and also, let the believer beware, ‘christian‘ claimants cloaked in false teaching.

Philosopher Pastors of the School of Everythingology would have us believe that Theology (the study of God) is too complicated for the church. However IF you would READ and believe your BIBLE as written from any reliable translation, then you would see that an informed faith and the study of God are really quite straightforward.

True theology from the teachings of GOD-WITH-US gives disciples of Jesus, the Son of God GOOD NEWS of God’s saving grace proclaimed directly through the Gospels.

For example:

Gospel of John:
- 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
- 14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
- .. grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. 18 No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father’s side, he has made him known.

“How long will you keep us in suspense? If you are the Christ, tell us plainly.”

Since the days God walked on the earth in the Person of the Son Jesus, CHRIST has been a stumbling stone to the false teachers of everythingology – a-theists willing to teach everything, that is, except Christology.

I cannot cover most of the implications of bad theology, false teaching and deceptive doctrine in this brief glance at theology; however as an introduction to WHY I have selected some of these terms to describe various philosophies, we will glance at dangers of a few known philosophies leavening the evangelism of the 21st century church.

The Dangers of Atheology
- IF god is dead in the evolved minds of humankind,
  - THEN PhD’s of Everythingology can create culture to worship whatever we want and invent iconic heroes idolizing who we want to become.
- IF JESUS is NOT God,
  - THEN Jesus was just an ordinary man and Christology just another philosophy.
- IF the HOLY SPIRIT has never shown God’s power,
  - THEN god remains impotent to act in a cosmos or specifically in humankind.
DOCTRINE – What do you believe? Can you affirm it to others?

But IF the BIBLE is Truly God’s Word,

Only Scripture Becomes a Valid Premise

(7) THE RESURRECTION OF CHRIST

It is interesting to notice what stress is laid in the New Testament on the resurrection of Christ. The sacred writers were deeply impressed with the importance of testifying to those to whom they preacher the gospel, that, after his death on the cross and his burial in the new tomb of Joseph of Arimathea, Jesus rose from the dead, and to present to them clear proofs of the wonderful fact.

Boothe continues his Christology, supported by Scripture, noting:

‘It was true that Jesus again and again had foretold his rising from the dead..’

Boothe then guides us to the Scripture which immediately came to mind for me.

1 Corinthians 15:

The Fact of Christ’s Resurrection

For I handed down to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. After that He appeared to more than five hundred brothers and sisters at one time, most of whom remain until now..

Now if Christ is proclaimed as raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead?

What a great QUESTION to some believers doubting Christ due to false philosophy questioning their faith. But the learned theological teacher Paul has an even better reasoning to question their questioning:

- But if there is no resurrection of the dead,
  - then not even Christ has been raised.
- And if Christ has not been raised,
  - then our preaching is in vain and your faith is in vain.
```
Then the negative argument and presumed logic of the A-theologists of Corinth:
```
We are even found to be misrepresenting God, because we testified about God that he raised Christ, whom he did not raise if it is true that the dead are not raised.
1 Corinthians 15:15 ESV

And repeating himself for the sake of argument, Paul agrees.

- For if the dead are not raised,
  - not even Christ has been raised.
- And if Christ has not been raised,
  - your faith is futile and you are still in your sins.
- Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished.

The Apostle Paul then reasonably etches a line in the stone of Scripture the Christian must know is the true Doctrine of Christ.

If in Christ we have hope in this life only,
we are of all people most to be pitied.

THAT is WHAT the A-theologist and Everythingologists would like to convince Christian to think.

HOWEVER; The Apostle Paul provides our better answer in the truth of this Scripture:

But the fact is, Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who are asleep.
For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive. But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits, after that those who are Christ’s at His coming, then comes the end..

Christology is all-inclusive of a fearful Truth for A-theologists: death and then the Judgment!

When did astrology become astronomy and science become ‘everythingology?’
Each time adam sought to explain life separate of the glory of God and science dismissed the study of God.

Let’s study it:

The SCIENCE of false premise

Last time I asked you, (my fellow ‘Christian’ with little interest in ‘theology‘):

Did God really say, Church?

Does the person asking you about “Church“ really want to know what God said?

AND

I warned that not only is it unlikely any man or woman will ask you about your church, but that their least likely question to you will be about THE LORD GOD.

IF & WHEN, however, you happen to identify someone telling you about their science and religion of atheism

AND they want to prove to you WHY GOD is not,

Recognize that the enemy of Truth cannot prove anything from every false premise.

Take any observation of mankind:

James Webb Space Telescope Science
The James Webb Space Telescope will be a giant leap forward in our quest to understand the Universe and our origins. JWST will examine every phase of cosmic history: from the first luminous glows after the Big Bang to the formation of galaxies, stars, and planets to the evolution of our own solar system. The science goals for the Webb can be grouped into four themes:

The End of the Dark Ages: First Light and Reionization – JWST will be a powerful time machine with infrared vision that will peer back over 13.5 billion years to see the first stars and galaxies forming out of the darkness of the early universe.

Even the atheist must confess that they do not have the answer to WHY?
i.e. WHY the Big Bang?
(It is a theory with speculative premise, right?)

SO WHY does the ATHEIST persist in asking the CHRISTIAN, “Why?”

THEY would bring believers down to the despair of THEIR own depths.

Science-onomy & Science-ology

At best, it’s speculative entertainment of an evolved brain of an ape, calculating how train B left the primordial station at the beginning of the line without a builder of its hypersonic engine, to arrive at their earth just in time for them to teach it as ‘proven science.’

WHY so much ‘SCIENCE’ built on FALSE PREMISE?
- Is their premise a veiled dismissal of God
  - (Most likely.)
- and does their ‘SCIENCE‘ disprove God’s Word?
  - (The goal of their questions)
Certainly NOT!

There is NO CONCLUSION for the a-theist,

because they understand that their END will be ashes and dust..

But then, the JUDGEMENT!

And he shall judge the world in righteousness, he shall minister judgment to the people in uprightness.

1. Because the A-theist stands against the Lord God, THEY must continually QUESTION GOD: i.e. “Did God really say..?”
2. THEN (like Satan) an A-theist must reconstruct TRUTH
3. into a PROOF of Another-truth, built on a FALSE PREMISE.
  1. Some claim their Alternative-truth as proven ‘science.’
  2. Others claim their Alternative-truth as speculative ‘history.’
  3. Still others claim their Alternative-truths as SCIENCE-ONOMY (with any number of familiar names).
What can we know with certainty?

WHEN SCIENCE side-steps LOGIC by tiptoeing around TRUTH, it becomes religion – the A-theist’s doctrine of the distrust of Almighty God, built on inconclusive false premises leading to NO conclusion.

- What can we know about sociology or psychology with absolute certainty?
- What can we know about ecology or cosmology with absolute certainty?
  - Was a scientist nearby to record the age of the universe?
    Could our mathematical (algebraical) calculations of the numerous variable unknowns of scientific presuppositions of geology and archeology be wrong (inconclusive)?
- How did the archeologist measure rock formed before carbon?
- Did some astronomer set out his telescope and tape to measure the light of Creation?
  - Were ‘light-years’ recorded with white light, curved light, ultraviolet light, x-ray, blacklight or with a nuclear flash?
  - Could Almighty God cause light to travel a varying speeds through some parts of space?
Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind and said:
“Who is this who darkens the divine plan
By words without knowledge?

And I shall ask you, and you inform Me!
“Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth?

These Doctors of Blurred Science matriculated through curricular gauntlets of eminent scholars of philosophy, who grade ALL their best teaching assistants on the curve and fail any logical conspiracy purists who support a single Truth.

The indisputable EDUCATION of this great Blurred Science continues to evolve toward the perfection of self B.S. demands for our future generations. For example: the evolution of astrology evolves into astronomy — which in turn seeks to gain credibility under the cloak of astrophysics. ALL Science offers numerous examples of this progress away the ignorance of our primordial forebears who fought sabre-tooth and nail for our freedoms and survival.

ALL PhD’s of U of E speculate WHY by teaching darwinology, as professor progeny of history’s fittest primates, hoping by their unspoken premise to strike a mortal blow to the head of logical truth. By now, you no doubt see through the academic robes of these Everythingologists exposing their humorous backsides by so many QUESTIONS asking WHY about GOD and Christ's Church. Perhaps if they had studied Orwellian theory [i.e. Animal Farm, 1984], they would name their church: "MINISTRY OF TRUTH." 

Perhaps in a not-so-humorous world of 2022 of 'the common era,' we have evolved into U.N. agencies of Everything-isms determined to bring the Church to Megiddo in a battle for Truth.

One ‘ology’ always absent in false teaching is “Christology,” the developed doctrine of Christ.
