    A Temporary Throne – 10

    CHAPTER 10

I spoke my plea to the LORD, as I had done so many times before pled to Him through prayer:

“Lord, You know all things. May Your will be done… on earth, as it is in Heaven… Lord, in my life, may your will be done. All glory to You Lord, for Your Perfect Most-Loving Sacrifice for me…”

“Lord, would you not save my most beloved ones, for whom I pray? Lord, has your silence been due to my sin?”

“Is it because my witness of You, Lord Christ, does not further your Name? “

“Do You want these I love most to see only my sin and not Your Own Righteousness?”

(I realized that I had already said too much.)

The Lord’s answer to this forgiven sinner, who repeatedly falls far short of God’s will, might well fill my ears for an eternity.

DEAR ROGER, FOR THIS FAITH YOU STAND BEFORE ME.

If I had not been so surrounded by the glory and the joy of Heaven, I would have shed a tear, as often I do now.

When I think back on it, I now see clearly from this foreign place of our service to God, where sin is allowed: This is only UNTIL HIS RETURN to reign on earth, as it is in Heaven.

Christ has already promised this through His Revelation to John:

21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

God, in the Person of Christ Jesus after His resurrection, has already revealed to John, His certain promise and completion of these last days in fulfillment of His Kingdom.

May His will be done on earth, as it is in Heaven.

    A Temporary Throne – 9

    CHAPTER 9

Job 1:1 NLT There once was a man named Job who lived in the land of Uz. He was blameless—a man of complete integrity. He feared God and stayed away from evil.

I confess that I am a sinner. I am NOT a righteous man like Job.  I am most thankful for the grace of my personal redemption through Christ’s sacrifice on the cross.

God granted Satan permission to test Job, even though Job had an exemplary prayer life. If any man’s prayers deserved answer and reward, it would be Job. And if any man lacking in prayer does NOT deserve an answer to infrequent prayer, it would be me.

God grants permission to Satan to do whatever he wants to Job, except kill him. Job loses all of his family (except for his wife, who advised him, ‘Just curse God, and die’). Job loses everything, except his integrity.

So Job makes righteous complaint to God. When God finally answers Job, it takes up most of four chapters of the Book.

I am a sinner, now before the THRONE of God.

Even with the saving grace of Christ, I dared not speak to the LORD GOD of any complaint, as if God had never heard my heart-felt prayers from deep within my mortal soul.

‘What does a mortal man say to God?’ I thought.

(And I knew the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY, already knew my thought and would not be surprised by my next words or next thoughts.)

(How would I plead my case before the THRONE of the JUDGE of all men?) I thought of Jesus parable of an unjust judge:

Luke 18 NRSV Then Jesus told them a parable about their need to pray always and not to lose heart.

    A Temporary Throne – 8

     CHAPTER 8

YOU HAVE NOT LIFE EXCEPT I GRANT.

Job 6: 8 “Oh, that I might have my request,
That God would grant me the thing that I long for!
9 That it would please God to crush me,
That He would loose His hand and cut me off!

I smiled in love, as I bowed my head in thankfulness.

And my mouth was opened, as the joy of the Lord’s grace overflowed from my heart.

“Thank you, Lord, for your mercy and grace.”

I looked up toward our Lord God’s loving Face. (I cannot describe the Image of His loving countenance.)

    SPEAK WITH ME, ROGER.

AGAIN, the Lord spoke to me personally; this time FACE to face, as I stood before the LORD at the THRONE of Heaven.

“Lord, I am broken by your silence to my prayer.”

SILENCE… I stood still… as it seemed time itself stood still.

The Lord smiled warmly and looked deeply into my soul.

“Lord, You have Eternity, yet You measure my mortal days.”

    Continued SILENCE…

“I would witness your love in my remaining days; yet You, Lord, remain silent in answer to my prayers.”
