Da Capo al Coda

For those of you who are not musicians: D.C. al Coda directs us to GO BACK to the BEGINNING then where indicated, GO towards the ENDING. (It’s new music resolving into an eventual final ending.)

Now you ask, what does that have to do with Scripture?

ANSWER: Scripture frequently takes us back to what we ought to have already known to interpret what will happen in the ending soon before us.

Deuteronomy Calls out the ending

Deuteronomy 9{7 Jordan river crossing

History bears witness to God’s word

וַיִּשְׁמַע יְהוָה בְּקוֹל אֵלִיָּהוּ וַתָּשָׁב נֶֽפֶשׁ־הַיֶּלֶד עַל־קִרְבּוֹ וַיֶּֽחִי׃

And the LORD heard the voice of Elijah; and the soul of the child came into him again, and he revived.

1 Kings 17:22

“But I say to you in truth, there were many widows in Israel in the days of Elijah.. and yet Elijah was sent to none of them..

Luke 4:25a,26a NASB20

The Messiah Jesus tells us to go back to Scripture if you want to understand meaning. D.C. al Coda Read it again, then skip ahead from the Cross to the end.
