Do you know someone with cancer?

(most of us do.)

If you don’t think that you do, but you know me; you know someone with cancer.

A few years ago I had the pleasure to meet John Piper at the Basics Conference. His preaching was outstanding, but John’s spirit glowed with a love for his fellow man like few others I know.

John had cancer and kept working and witnessing. He wrote a booklet about it, which I picked up and keep handy (usually on my dresser) for encouragement. You may also know that my wife Becky died of cancer fifteen years ago and my wife Lissette has survived cancer. Please pray for us.

Today, I am scheduled for surgery. I do not know if they will find another mass this time or not.

I want to share John’s pamphlet from his excellent website: Desiring God. (You may want to check out a sermon, too.)

  1. Praise the Lord! I am cancer free.
Yet, for the risen Christ Jesus to heal one of so little significance as this is only a small thing.
To have healed us of our sins and assured us of the resurrection is His true miracle.
Thank you, so many of you, for your prayers for me and for my wife.
Praise God & our Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus!

Encourage & witness. Please add your comment & share our Christian Social Witness. – Roger
