Mob Mentality Motivated by Religious Leaders

I had noted previously in the questions of my last post What is Truth? a seeming parallel of events between Jesus’ trial and a current influence of Pope Francis. It seems the Pope, by a barrage of liberal social statements, seeks to influence the outcome of the US Presidential election (with a Catholic candidate) by his own religious influence of Roman Catholics.
