Son of God:
Guilty as accused?
John’s Gospel witnesses Jesus’ proofs that He is not only innocent of ALL SIN, but that Jesus IS the Messiah of God – the only Son of flesh and blood born of the Lord God – the Christ.
Recall how Romans worshipped many gods. Pilate and his legions worshipped Caesar as a ‘son of god.’ Their tolerance for other gods; even Jesus, perhaps; made every religious belief like this politically correct.
Roman gods had mothers and sons. Romans worshipped these many gods.
- Do you see parallels to the mandatory tolerance of other gods by Rome and 21st century acceptance of every god?
- How is the present day U.S. like 1st century Rome?
- Is Christ mocked as an enemy in this day by leaders and crowds opposed to the One Eternal Almighty God?
- If Jesus is the only Son of God and He is NOT GUILTY of any sin, why does the Lord suffer all of this for sinners like us?
